DESCRIPTION:   Full length APOBEC3G (CEM15), c-terminus His4, produced in the baculovirus expression system.

PURIFICATION: This protein was purified by ammonium sulphate fractionation  Ni-affinity chromatography to > 95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE, reduced.. Approx MW=44kD

SPECIFICITY:     This protein binds to anti-CEM15 murine monoclonal antibodies and rabbit polyclonal antibodies as determined by Elisa and Western Elisa assays.

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY:  Binds to  recombinanat HIV-1 vif as determined by ELISA and Western Blot, and complexes with native vif in HIV-1 viral lysates. Specificity for binding cellular RNA.
